My Role
As a UI/UX Designer on DEKA’s in-house team, I led design across multiple projects and stages, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-informed experiences across website, mobile, and HMI.

Design Principal
Simplify complex data through clear, user-centered visual hierarchy and interaction.
Project 1
twiist™ AID System
Powered by Tidepool, the twiist™ AID (Automated Insulin Delivery) System delivers adaptive and predictive insulin therapy for people with type 1 diabetes. By continuously updating glucose predictions and automatically adjusting insulin delivery, the system helps prevent highs and lows throughout the day and night.
Target User
Diabetic Patients & Healthcare Providers

Reflection
1.

Cross-Department Collaboration
Collaborated with multiple product teams, adapting communication to engineers, PMs, and clinical stakeholders. Supporting several products taught me to balance priorities, manage diverse feedback, and maintain design consistency.
3.

Rapid Learning & Technical Exploration Engaging with new tools, internal documentation, and technical discussions allowed me to translate advanced system capabilities into actionable design prototypes across web, mobile, and HMI platforms.

Designing Under Complexity
Working on cloud-based monitoring dashboards exposed me to complex data flows and regulatory requirements, strengthening my ability to simplify information and create intuitive, user-centered interfaces.
2.
4.

Consistency & Scalability
Through building design systems and brand guides, I learned how to create scalable, consistent interfaces across multiple products and platforms. I gained insight into how standardized components streamline workflow.
Many thanks to the wonderful team!
